Thanks for all the
kind words!
Several years ago, I had the pleasure of interviewing Yiannis Karimalis at his beautiful, art filled home. It was awash in color and light both inside and out. One painting in particular struck me in the moment. Literally, I saw it across the room and immediately it brought tears and a rush of visceral emotion to me! The two women sitting on the bench spoke to my heart. A mother-daughter, sister-sister or friend to friend bond, I wasn’t sure, but I knew I needed that painting! Fast forward to the pandemic, I was broadcasting for eight months from my home office, and Yianni’s painting was hanging on the wall behind me. Just as it touched me, it also spoke to many of my viewers. as well. I received countless emails from people watching at home wanting to know more about the artist and the meaning of my painting. That is the beauty of Yianni’s art - it reaches out and speaks to you in surprising and deeply personal ways.

Yiannis Karamalis and I have shared a cherished friendship spanning many years. Renowned as a celebrity hairstylist, who has coiffed the heads of international royalty and local dignitaries, alike, Yiannis has recently embarked on an inspiring journey into the world of fine art. His Novi studio serves as both a creative haven for his artistic endeavors and a space where he continues to work his magic as a hairstylist.
Yiannis' artwork is nothing short of extraordinary. His pieces showcase a dazzling array of mediums, incorporating elements like sparkle, flash, and even broken glass. The result is a collection that seamlessly blends contemporary flair with warm, traditional undertones. Each creation is a testament to his boundless creativity and unique perspective.
As a style expert, I am continually amazed by Yiannis' ability to translate his artistic vision into breathtaking works of art. His talent is undeniable, and I firmly believe that everyone should have at least one Yiannis painting in their collection. His art not only elevates spaces but also tells a story of passion, innovation, and elegance.

The emotions captured in his work exemplify what it means to be a great artist, as Yiannis' art evokes strong feelings in viewers. His paintings transport you across seas and cultures with their captivating and mesmerizing colors and textures.

Yiannis has been taking care of my hair fabulously for years! However, Yannis is equally as talented with his amazing artwork, whether oil paintings or acrylics his original artwork is stunning. My husband Greg and I love one of Yiannis’ original pieces that we display proudly in our home. What I love is the creativity and uniqueness in each piece whether faces, abstract or his love of the garden and colorful florals.
I was stunned when I learned his craft for painting was all self taught, and how he started playing around with paints as a young boy growing up in Greece! As we say this type of raw talent cannot be taught it is born within us. If you ever have a chance to see a display of Yiannis’ artwork you will be awestruck and to own a piece is even better! Simply amazing!

The vivid colors, shapes and creations in Yiannis’ paintings pull you into the unique world he envisions and brings to life on canvas. Your eyes roam the canvas wanting to take in every stroke, while a sense of joy at its beauty brings warmth to your soul. Yiannis is truly an artist with unparalleled imagination and talent. It is a special gift that we are honored to receive when given the chance to view a Yiannis painting.
