Commissioning art is when a client hires an artist to create an artwork based on their request.

Before agreeing to take on a project, the artist has several factors to consider. For instance, they will evaluate how long the creation will take and whether the client’s vision aligns with their artistic goals. It’s important to note that there are no guarantees when it comes to the final outcome.

To start commissioning an art piece, you should first clearly define your vision:

• Subject Matter: What do you want the artwork to depict? 

• Style: What kind of artistic style do you prefer (e.g., realistic, abstract, impressionistic)? 

• Medium: What materials should the artwork be created with (e.g., painting)?
